Te Reo Maori with the Learners

I was planning to use Te Reo Maori with the learners. I gradually started practising those words what i am going to use with our learners. Once i gained confidence, i started using with them. The learners were quite quick to grasp those words and they started using with other learners. I got encouraged when i heard the learners using with other learners.
So i decided to introduce more of Maori songs, dances and their culture with the learners. The above Slides were my iExpereince planning. We started learning some songs and it was easy for the learners to remember the numbers and colours when they learnt through songs. When i tested them, some learners were singing  the song to find the answer. It was fun learning about Maori culture and their dances like poi and Haka. The Rakau was the best and we tried to use it in different ways.
